However, when I looked at setting this all up, it seems that you have to specify in the config for each printer what port it's on so this must be somehow being dynamically adapted by the pad for this use case? How do i achieve the same result? Or do they just have a version of the config with each port as referenced, and then it's just a case of selecting the right printer/cfg combo.ĥQ) a lot of documentation I was reading, although some of it is out of date indicates that you need to be running multiple instances of klipper on the same system 1 for each printer or even run multiple instance of octopi and then an instance of klipper on each one.
The printer.cfg file i have for the printer im trying to add to the config directory would replace the existing printer.cfg?ĤQ) The official release of the “speeder pad” functions mostly by plug and play without too much messing about, and comes preloaded with all the config files for the FLSUN printers. As such i cant find out what the usb ports are to configure I cant SSH into the “speeder pad” as i have no idea what the host is called, not sure how this could be determined if it can be determined without just knowing it from the original install. a) I do not know the hostname or port, i assume hostname is set when creating the firmware for the board of the target printer.ī) As im not really adding a networked printers and its connected via usb Maybe port is referring to USB port, but it comes pre-filled with 7125 which is throwing me off what I might be entering here. I can add additional printers via moonraker interface but it askes for a hostname and port. I have the relevant printer.cfg file which i could upload to the root config in the klipper. I have successfully flashed the klipper firmware to the board of the printer I want to run in addition to the V400. Now i can added and edit config files via a browser. I am attempting to run multiple printers off of this “speeder pad” it was designed to run up to 3, however as this was part of the first patch of printers it only ships with config and set up to run the printer (FLSUN V400). I have a V400 it’s comes with a “speeder pad” which runs Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS which is then running klipper, klipper screen and moonraker.
Hello so I'm relative ignorant on a lot of things which will become apparent in the following explanation of what I want to do and what I have tried to do.
